Hosted VoIP Systems

So what is VoIP, let alone Hosted VoIP Systems?

So what is VoIP, let alone Hosted VoIP Systems?

The ‘VoIP’ in Hosted VoIP systems stands for ‘voice over internet protocol’. A VoIP phone service is a telephone service provided through the internet rather than using a traditional phone line. VoIP calls are made using a specially equipped VoIP phone, also known as an IP phone. Hosted simply means that the hardware and PBX (Private Branch eXchange) are located off-site, away from the premises which is using the VoIP telephone system and is maintained by the VoIP provider.
